Bayer Leverkusen's CEO Fernando Carro has fond memories of the successful football season of the double winners. "I had the championship trophy and the DFB Cup replicated," the 60-year-old Spaniard told the business magazine "Capital". "The replica of the trophy is already at my home in Madrid, the sight of it makes me proud and drives me on."

Carro recently made headlines in the transfer saga surrounding Leverkusen's Jonathan Tah. The Spaniard first unusually sharply criticized FC Bayern Munich and then immediately apologized. The 28-year-old Tah, whose contract with the double winners expires in the summer of 2025, is being heavily courted by the Bayern.

After reflecting on Bayer Leverkusen's impressive accomplishments, Carro expressed his gratitude by having replicas of the championship trophy and the DFB Cup made. Despite the transfer rumors surrounding Jonathan Tah, Carro remains passionate about the team's success in soccer.
