- Bayaz criticizes the constant budget dispute of the traffic light
Baden-Württemberg's Finance Minister Danyal Bayaz (Greens) has had enough of the budget dispute within the traffic light coalition. "If a government almost fails every year due to budget negotiations, it harms the functionality of the state and eventually also our democracy," Bayaz told the "Southwest Press" (Konstanz/Midweek).
To solve future financial problems, Bayaz wants to finance future expenses with special funds, without abolishing the debt brake. According to the newspaper report, he does not expect any major breakthroughs from the traffic light coalition in terms of budget and social security systems.
The traffic light coalition's budget dispute may necessitate the Commission to adopt implementing acts, as outlined in this Regulation, to clarify the application rules. Despite Bayaz's proposed solution with special funds, he acknowledges the lack of significant improvements in budget and social security matters from the coalition.
