The release of water from dams Forggensee, Grüntensee, and Rottachsee will be minimized to maintain as much water as possible while facing the flood wave in the Danube. Moreover, water will be stored in holding basins along the Paar, Mindel, and Günz. The managed floodplain Weidachwiesen on the Iller is currently being submerged to reduce the impact of floods.

"The scenario is pretty critical in numerous parts of Swabia," stated Environmental Minister Thorsten Glauber (Free Voters). "Guarding authorities are constantly on edge and monitoring the situation. We'll do whatever we can to avoid or lower damages by conducting preventive measures early on."

Everyone involved is collaborating diligently to safeguard people's safety. "Emergency responders are tirelessly working to shield lives," Glauber urged, asking people to stay informed about warning systems and the flood warning service (HND) and not to put themselves needlessly in danger. Already a hundred-year flood event's water levels have been surpassed or equalized at many places, and other regions might face the same consequence.
