Weather - Bavaria: Rain and clouds dominate the weather this week
A mix of rain, clouds, and sun is expected to pass over Bavaria this week, according to the German Weather Service (DWD). Temperatures are predicted to reach a maximum of 22 degrees. With partly stronger winds, one can expect a rather refreshing week in the Free State.
At the start of the week, it is predicted to rain heavily in large parts of Bavaria, and there may also be thunderstorms. The thunderstorms are expected to subside at night. According to the DWD, where there are thunderstorms, there may also be heavy rain, gusty winds, and hail. The sun may pass by the Alps.
Tuesday will start between the Danube and the Alps with some sun. According to the DWD, clouds will then roll in and cover the sun. In addition, stronger winds are expected. From the afternoon onwards, it is predicted to rain lightly until night.
Wednesday will start with many clouds, and according to the DWD, more rain and showers are expected during the day. The wind will be slightly less strong compared to the previous days. Temperatures will range between 15 and 19 degrees.
Thursday is expected to be lightly rainy and overcast, but the clouds may also brighten up at times. In Franconia, windstorms may form. Rain is expected to pass over the Alps by Friday, giving the rest of the Free State a rain break.
On Tuesday, despite starting with some sun between the Danube and the Alps, stronger winds and clouds are forecasted to cover the sun later in the day, leading to light rain until night, as per the DWD's prediction in Bavaria. Although rain is expected to fall in significant parts of Bavaria at the beginning of the week, it's worth noting that the sun might make an appearance over the Alps during this period, as mentioned by the German Weather Service. Towards the end of the week, rain will pass over the Alps, providing relief to the rest of Bavaria, as the DWD forecasts.
