Baskets Oldenburg sign American Geno Crandall
The EWE Baskets Oldenburg have reacted to the injury to forward Brekkott Chapman and signed a replacement in Geno Crandall. The German Basketball League club made the announcement on Tuesday. The signing is intended to cushion the strain of the coming months in the BBL and Basketball Champions League, said Baskets club boss Hermann Schüller. Chapman suffered an ankle injury in training and is expected to be out for three months.
Last season, Crandall played for BG Göttingen and was most recently under contract with Israeli first-division club Hapoel Be'er Sheva. Crandall can play both as a playmaker and as a shooting guard.
Geno Crandall, who previously played for BG Göttingen and Hapoel Be'er Sheva in Israel, has joined EWE Baskets Oldenburg to replace injured forward Brekkott Chapman. The signing of Crandall is expected to alleviate the strain during Chapman's expected three-month absence from the German Basketball League and Basketball Champions League.
