Basketball player Nico Brauner from Towers calls it quits on his professional journey.

Guard Brauner spent a year playing for Veolia Towers Hamburg in the Bundesliga and EuroCup. At 29 years old, he is now bidding farewell to the team and his professional sporting career.

Nico Brauner is calling it quits on his professional basketball career. The Bundesliga team, Veolia Towers Hamburg, made the announcement on a Friday. During the 2023/24 season, Brauner, a 29-year-old point guard, played in 54 games for the North Germans in both the Bundesliga and the EuroCup.

In explaining his decision, Brauner stated, "I've realized that basketball doesn't bring me the same fulfillment it used to, and the motivation that once drove me no longer exists." He added, "My career has given me a lot of joy, and I'm extremely grateful for the experiences I've had."
