In the basement of the Bundeswehr Hospital in Mitte, a fire broke out. According to a spokesperson for the fire department, two people were lightly injured during the incident. The two were reportedly taken to the emergency room.

According to the reports, there was a strong development of smoke in the stairwell, and two stations had to be evacuated preventatively. Approximately 60-70 employees and patients were affected. The fire department extinguished the fire shortly thereafter. The cause of the fire was initially unclear.

The fire in the hospital's cellar spread some smoke to the stairwell, requiring evacuation of two fire department stations. Forewarned of potential danger, Berlin's armed forces Hospital swiftly prepared for an influx of patients due to the incident. Wishing for better circumstances, one can only hope for fewer such 'fires' in the future.
