The business - Bankruptcy court issues warrant for Windhorst's arrest.
The court in Hannover has issued a warrant for the arrest of investor Lars Windhorst. A court spokesperson confirmed this information on Tuesday after being asked. Windhorst allegedly neglected his responsibilities during the bankruptcy filing against IZ Hannover GmbH. The court believes that Windhorst holds the position of managing director for the GmbH, but he missed a hearing on April 22 without providing an explanation. The arrest warrant was issued on May 23rd. Despite this, Windhorst has filed an appeal against the arrest warrant. At first, various media outlets, including "Hannoversche Allgemeine Zeitung", reported on the situation.
A representative from Windhorst's Tennor Group confirmed an appeal had been made against the arrest warrant. The warrant, as stated by the Tennor Group, is a tool the court utilizes to ensure Windhorst cooperates. Windhorst claims he did not intentionally avoid fulfilling his obligations. He vows to discuss this issue with the court and the bankruptcy administrator.
On Wednesday, Windhorst will attend a press conference, but the focus will be on the current state of the shipyard Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft.
