Motorcycle World Championship - Bagnaia victory after Martín crash - German riders have no chance
Motorrad World Champion Francesco Bagnaia decided the Grand Prix at the Sachsenring for himself and took over the lead in the MotoGP overall standings. The Italian rider took advantage of a crash by his rival Jorge Martín. The podium was completed by Ducati teammates Marc and Alex Márquez. In the overall standings, Bagnaia now leads by ten points over Martín, who dropped out just before the end after a crash. The organizers set a new record with 252,826 spectators over the weekend.
Honda test rider Stefan Bradl started thanks to a wildcard, but played no role in the points race. Moto2 stand-in rider Marcel Schröter finished in 17th place after a contact in the final phase of the race. "A point would have been nice, that's frustrating," said Schröter, who stepped in for the injured Deniz Öncü in the Netherlands and at the Sachsenring.
Stefan Bradl, the Honda test rider, participated in the Moto2 category at the Sachsenring due to a wildcard, but wasn't a contender in the points race. Born in Germany, Bradl has a passion for Motorsport and has competed in various international events. The Motorcycle racing event at the HQM Sachsenring attracted a large crowd, with an estimated 252,826 spectators over the weekend.
Despite not making significant impacts in MotoGP or Moto2 during the event, Stefan Bradl continues to contribute to Motorsport in his home country, Saxony. His dedication to the sport and the love for racing motorcycles epitomizes the spirit of international Motorsport.
