Baerbock urges an immediate end to Hungary's obstruction of Ukraine aid supply.
The EU's foreign ministers are due to meet in Brussels to discuss additional assistance for Ukraine. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has requested more air defense systems and other weapons in a video address. Baerbock, the German minister, is in favor of this, although the reaction among other EU countries has been relatively quiet thus far.
Hungary is reportedly preventing any further joint military aid from being provided to Ukraine. Several attendees at Monday's gathering expressed the need for Budapest to remove this roadblock.
Baerbock confirmed Germany's continued support for Ukraine on all fronts, including humanitarian assistance. She announced that an additional €60 million would be made available specifically for eastern Ukraine, where resources are desperately needed.
During the meeting, the ministers will also address the ongoing situation in Georgia and the conflict between Israel and the radical Islamist group Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
