The German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock has explained her unconventional approach towards engaging with high-profile foreign leaders. At an event in Düsseldorf on Monday, she said, "I don't believe that turning away is a sign of strength." She further added that some leaders footstep the way a country responds to their actions.

During the discussion about the Ukraine war, she claimed that Lavrov had lied to her face.
