Transport - Azmoun of Leverkusen changes to Dubai
Bayer Leverkusen has officially confirmed the transfer of forward Sardar Azmoun to Dubai. According to the club's statement, the Iranian will join Shabab Al-Ahli. As reported by "Bild" last week, the Bundesligist is set to receive six million Euros plus bonuses.
Azmoun was unable to participate in the team's training session led by trainer Xabi Alonso and had to train individually. He missed the first public training session in preparation and reported late.
The 29-year-old was on loan to AS Roma in the previous season. He joined Bayer Leverkusen from Zenit St. Petersburg in early 2022. In 32 Bundesliga games, he scored five goals. In Leverkusen, he still has a contract until 2027.
