"Away from the victory frenzy": Kaiserslautern warned against Fürth

After the 3:2 victory in the DFB Cup against 1. FC Köln, second-division soccer team 1. FC Kaiserslautern is back on the road. For their third home game in a week, coach Dirk Schuster's team will host SpVgg Greuther Fürth at the Fritz Walter Stadium on Saturday (13:00/Sky). "We've got to get away from the euphoria and the frenzy of victory. It's important that we shift the lever. The 2nd division is our daily bread and butter. We can't allow ourselves to be lulled into a sense of security. Greuther Fürth are very strong and are only three points behind us in the table," said Schuster on Friday.

The 55-year-old has not yet decided whether he will make any changes to the starting eleven due to the heavy workload of the last few days. "Everyone took part in the relaxed session on Thursday, there were no new complaints. The majority of the team were very tired. We'll talk to the players again to see how everyone is feeling overall," added Schuster. In this regard, the players' honest opinions will be taken into account. "I believe that the lads want to get a good finish to what has been a decent English week for us so far."

FCK has sold almost 40,000 tickets for the match against Fürth so far. In terms of personnel, the situation has eased for the Palatinate side. In Tymoteusz Puchacz and Hendrick Zuck, Schuster once again has two more options at left-back. Only the long-term injured Afeez Aremu and Ragnar Ache are still out.

  1. Despite their recent DFB Cup victory against 1. FC Köln, 1. FC Kaiserslautern's coach Dirk Schuster emphasized the importance of focusing on Bundesliga 2, as 1. FC Kaiserslautern and 1st FC Kaiserslautern's next opponents, SpVgg Greuther Fürth, are just three points apart in the table.
  2. Looking ahead to their match against 1. FC Kaiserslautern, 1st FC Kaiserslautern's opponent, Greuther Fürth, has been in decent form, selling out nearly 40,000 tickets for the game at the Fritz Walter Stadium.
