- Autopsy: 19-year-old died of knife wounds
Post-mortem examination results are in following the fatal stabbing of a 19-year-old in her apartment in Altenstadt (Wetterau district). The woman died from injuries sustained in a knife attack, a spokesperson for the Giessen public prosecutor's office said. The alleged 33-year-old attacker was found dead in his apartment in Münzenberg after the attack on the 19-year-old and her 20-year-old partner. The post-mortem examination revealed that he had committed suicide. The 20-year-old sustained minor injuries.

The public prosecutor's office initially made no further statements about a possible relationship between the victim and the alleged attacker. According to a report in the Bild newspaper, the attacker was a teacher. The victim was said to be a high school graduate and attended the school where the 33-year-old taught. The report claimed that the alleged attacker and the student had previously had a consensual relationship. The spokesperson for the public prosecutor's office has neither confirmed nor denied these reports.

The woman died at the scene from her injuries. After a search, special forces entered the attacker's apartment in Münzenberg and found him dead inside.
