Illegality - Authorities search for the owner of pilfered gems in Nordhorn.

The person who had their jewelry stolen in Nordhorn needs to report to the police: On Thursday, the authorities released pictures of the stolen rings, watches, chains, and bracelets that the police discovered back in February. According to the police, these items were found after the thieves claimed to have had a stone thrown at a rental car they were driving.

The three thieves, aged 21, 23, and 24, actually caused the accident themselves, trying to cover it up. It was later found that they had also robbed an older couple the day before the accident. The young men were subsequently arrested.

More than 200 items of jewelry that were both stolen and recovered can be linked to various crimes, but the origin of around 150 additional pieces is still uncertain, the police said.
