Unlawful activity - Authorities issue caution on fake currency circulation
The police in Eisenach are on the lookout for bogus banknotes. In recent weeks, they've picked up a number of fakes. Primarily, it's 50 and 100 euro bills that are being forged. The authorities can't rule out that additional counterfeit currency is being circulated. They're urging people to be careful. If someone suspects they've got a fake note, they need to contact the police immediately. Whatever you do, don't return the fake money to the issuer or hand it over to others.
