Inundation - Authorities in Switzerland have raised the risk level on Lake Constance to its highest point.

In the west region of Lake Constance, the flooding conditions have become incredibly severe, prompting Swiss authorities to issue a level 5 danger alert for the Untersee on Tuesday. This signifies "heightened bank erosion and flooding," as stated on the official platform for natural hazards. Already, parts of the lakeside walkways, parking lots, and garden eateries were submerged on the Swiss side of Untersee, west of Konstanz. Efforts to construct mobile dikes at certain spots have been made. The water level in Lake Constance rose by a remarkable four centimeters between Monday and Tuesday, but some relief is projected in a few days.
