Police Detain Suspect - Authorities discover deceased female; 37-year-old individual under scrutiny

A deceased 63-year-old woman was found in a Neustrelitz house unexpectedly, and soon after, the authorities apprehended a suspected killer. The Neubrandenburg Police Department revealed on Thursday that the 37-year-old suspect, who's had run-ins with law enforcement before, is being probed for murder. It seems the man knew the victim. Nevertheless, he had no familial connections to her. The man is thought to have inflicted fatal injuries on the 63-year-old. Further details about the criminal case have yet to be uncovered.

Late Wednesday evening, cops went to the multi-residential building because they had received intel about a stolen bicycle. Upon arrival, they spotted the lifeless woman through a window. Preliminary assessment suggests she'd been deceased for some time. The autopsy showed that she'd sustained severe injuries, presumably from an assault.

Only hours before the grim discovery, police had been dealing with the 37-year-old man. He'd been exhibiting aggressive behavior in Neustrelitz, swearing at bystanders and even attempting to pick fights. The German man was visibly intoxicated. A Cop, on his way home, witnessed the altercation, intervened, and summoned his colleagues.

Given the man's inebriation and volatile behavior, it was recommended he be taken to a medical institution. But with the suspected offense, he was detained instead. He was still in police custody on Thursday afternoon. The public prosecutor was thinking of detaining the man, per a spokesperson for the judicial system. The police are still on the hunt for witnesses.
