Collision - ATV rider sustains severe injuries after crashing into a ditch.
In South Weinstraße, a quad biker got into an accident and suffered significant injuries. The 56-year-old man was transported to a hospital via helicopter on a Tuesday, however he wasn't considered to be in critical condition.
As per the police, the man had made a left turn on a rural road. At the last moment, he saw a car overtaking him, causing him to swerve to the right. This led him to lose control, veer off the road, and plunge into a drainage ditch. Upon impact, he was ejected from his bike.
During the incident, both the driver of the quad bike and the car had to apply brakes behind a slow-moving vehicle belonging to a road maintenance service. The 58-year-old car driver had initially paused, but decided to speed out of her patience and start overtaking.
