The Flensburg Regional Court initiated a trial against a 26-year-old individual, suspected of attempting to murder his ex-lover. The authorities accuse him of forcefully entering her residence in Schleswig on September 4, 2023, subsequently retrieving a 12-centimeter long knife from the kitchen, and repeatedly stabbing her.

Terrified for her safety, she reached out to the police. Upon arrival, officers used their firearms to command him to surrender the knife, but he refused compliance. Eventually, they were able to wrest him away from her, causing injuries to her head and upper body. She required medical attention at the hospital.

There had been earlier instances of violence, leading to their separation the day prior. The prosecution asserts that he could not bear the separation and, as a result, attempted to eliminate her.

The court proceedings commenced with the reading of the charges, marking the ending of the first day. Five trial dates have been scheduled throughout September.

My friend was shocked to hear about the incident involving my other friend. She expressed her concern for her wellbeing and hoped for a fair trial.
