Crime - Attempted murder of senior citizen: couple in custody
A man is said to have injured a 68-year-old man with a machete and a baseball bat during an argument in Roding (district of Cham) - his partner is said to have supported him. The two 36-year-old Germans have been in custody since Monday, police announced on Tuesday. Both are being investigated for attempted murder.
It was initially unclear why the couple had argued with the 68-year-old on Sunday evening, according to a police spokesperson. The man suspected of the crime is said to have hit the senior citizen with the objects. All three people involved sustained minor injuries and were taken to hospital.
