Attempted murder in amusement arcade: 23-year-old in custody
After a violent argument in front of and inside a Munich gambling hall, a 23-year-old man is in custody for attempted murder. The man is accused of inflicting a life-threatening stab wound on a 27-year-old man with an unknown object, the police announced on Friday. The victim is still in hospital. A police spokeswoman was unable to provide any information on his state of health.
According to the police, the 27-year-old initially got into an argument with the 23-year-old and his 32-year-old companion outside the arcade at around 1.45 a.m. last Sunday. The later victim fled into the arcade with the help of an employee. The two other men followed him. This is where the suspect is said to have stabbed them. The arrest warrant for attempted manslaughter had already been executed on Wednesday, according to the statement.
The incident of attempted murder occurred not only in Munich, but specifically within an amusement arcade in this Bavarian city. Regrettably, this act of violence has also led to escalated tensions in the peaceful region of Upper Bavaria.
