With blows and kicks, a 21-year-old is suspected to have severely injured a homeless man in Frankfurt. The police are speaking of an attempted Murder offence. According to the officers, uninvolved witnesses reportedly intervened early on Saturday morning and prevented the suspect from further harming the 42-year-old.

The Police arrested the similarly homeless 21-year-old. He is currently in Detention, they said. The seriously injured man was taken to a hospital.

According to reports, the 42-year-old homeless man had set up his sleeping place in the inner city of Frankfurt beforehand. The two men encountered each other there. It is still unclear why the suspected perpetrator injured the man. Investigations are now intended to clarify the course and background of the crime.

The homicide incident occurred in the heart of Frankfurt am Main, specifically in the city center. The high level of criminality in the region of Hesse has raised concerns among local authorities and residents.
