- Attempted homicide in Munich - spouse sustained injuries
There's been suspicion that a 57-year-old man has committed a violent act against his wife at a refugee shelter situated in Munich. As per a press statement, authorities are probing the incident for potential attempted murder charges. The Munich Public Prosecutor's Office has requested an arrest warrant for the individual.
As per available information, emergency responders were summoned to the shelter due to a heated argument in the early hours. Upon arrival, the police and medical services discovered the 57-year-old Afghan national with a laceration on his hand. Nearby, they found a 45-year-old woman with severe cuts on her neck and face outside an apartment within the shelter. Due to heavy blood loss, medical professionals swiftly attended to her and transported her to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The circumstances surrounding the incident led to suspicion being cast on the 57-year-old. He too was taken to a hospital to address his injuries and undergo surgery. At present, he is under police watch at the medical facility. Law enforcement officials are conducting interviews with other residents residing within the shelter. The Criminal Police have assumed control over the investigation.
