Arrest warrant - Attempted homicide in dispute outside café in Solingen
After a man suffered injuries from a knife during an argument in Solingen, a warrant has been issued for the arrest of a suspect for attempted manslaughter. The police and public prosecutor's office in Wuppertal announced on Monday that an argument had already broken out between several people outside a café on Friday evening. The 27-year-old suspect is said to have injured the 48-year-old victim with a knife in the course of the argument. The injured party was then taken to hospital, and the risk to his life could not be ruled out.
Special forces arrested the suspect in Düsseldorf on Saturday and he was brought before a magistrate on Sunday. On Sunday, a special task force was also able to seize a knife in the city center. Whether it is the murder weapon is still being investigated.
