Dortmund - Attempted homicide: both victims homeless men
Two homeless men have been the victims of an attempted homicide in Dortmund two nights in a row. A 43-year-old man was stabbed in the stomach with a sharp object - presumably a knife - by an unknown person, as the police reported on Friday. After the incident on Thursday night, the man was able to drag himself, seriously injured, to the home of a friend, who called the emergency services. His life was no longer in danger.
The following night, a 41-year-old homeless man from Dortmund was found critically injured on a bench. An unknown person had stabbed him in the stomach. As with the victim before, the perpetrator had demanded cash. "Due to the spatial and temporal proximity, a connection between the crimes is possible," said the investigators.
