Police have identified a suspect in the attacks on four women in Oppenheim, Mainz-Bingen district. The suspect is a 31-year-old woman, according to police and prosecutors. She is currently not making any statements about the incident.

On Monday evening, police searched the suspect's apartment and seized items. No further details were provided. Police are appealing to potential witnesses to come forward.

The attacks occurred early Sunday morning. The suspect is alleged to have struck two girls, aged 15 and 17, with a full bottle after an argument. The 15-year-old sustained minor facial injuries. The 17-year-old suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital.

Shortly afterwards, a 21-year-old and her 31-year-old sister were seriously injured when they were hit in the face by an unknown object.

The suspect in the Oppenheim attacks was reportedly residing in the area. Officials are examining the items seized from her apartment for potential evidence.
