A large group of men is suspected of attacking and injuring five others with stones and beer bottles in the Wedding district of Berlin. The group, consisting of 15 to 30 people, got into an argument with the others during the night, according to the Berlin police. It is alleged that the attackers then beat the smaller group, threw stones and beer bottles at them, and sprayed them with irritant, as reported.

A 41-year-old man, who was not involved in the argument but was nearby with his partner, was hit by a bottle and sustained a head wound. The five men reportedly took refuge in a mini-market, while the larger group fled.

The victims suffered injuries such as irritation of the airways and skin abrasions. A 33-year-old sustained a broken nose and bruises on his face, and a 37-year-old had a stab wound on his shoulder blade.

Emergency services treated the injured. The police are investigating on suspicion of severe breach of the peace.

The incident in Berlin's Wedding district has brought up concerns about escalating violence, as the police are currently investigating the case as a severe breach of peace due to the crime committed by the large group. The attacked individuals are still recovering from serious injuries, including broken bones and stab wounds.
