At least 20 people have lost their lives in a fire at a gaming arcade in India.
Raju Bhargava, the police commissioner of Rajkot, informed ANI that the fire has been brought under control, and rescuers are still working to recover bodies. At the moment, approximately 20 corpses have been located and transported to the hospital for thorough analysis.
The Gujarat state government is forming a special investigative team to look into the matter. Gujarat's Chief Minister, Bhupendra Patel, has made this announcement.
The Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, expressed his sympathies for the disaster in a social media post.
"The fire tragedy in Rajkot is heartbreaking and has left us all saddened. I just spoke with Gujarat CM Bhupendrabhai Patel, who updated me on the ongoing attempts to provide all necessary aid to those who have been impacted," he said in his post.
