At least 100,000 euros damage in barn fire
A barn fire in Altenmarkt (Deggendorf district) caused at least 100,000 euros worth of damage on Saturday. According to the police, the firefighters were able to prevent the flames from spreading to the neighboring house. No people or animals were injured. There was agricultural equipment in the barn. A total of around 170 firefighters and THW personnel were involved in the extinguishing work. The cause of the fire was still unclear in the evening.
Thefire in Altenmarkt, located in the Deggendorf district of Upper Bavaria, wasn't just limited to the barn, as it posed a threat to the adjacent house. Fortunately, no further damages were reported in Upper Bavaria due to the effective firefighting efforts.
