- Assessing Aircraft once more under Nighttime Conditions at Frankfurt Airport

People living close to Frankfurt Airport better prepare for another series of nighttime verification flights by the weekend's end. The Instrument Landing System is scheduled for examination from Thursday up until Sunday, as per the German Air Traffic Control (DFS)'s announcement. During these hours, from 11 PM to roughly 3 AM, a particular aircraft will assess the accuracy of vital signals necessary for safe landings and to aid pilots during their descent. Typically, no departures or landing activities are allowed at Frankfurt Airport between 11 PM and 5 AM; however, exemptions are granted for these specific calibration flights.

DFS strives to limit the number of flights affecting residential areas during the calibration process. A Beechcraft Super King Air 350 turbo-prop aircraft will be used to accomplish this task. The same type of calibration flights occurred at a different runway within Frankfurt Airport from August 29 till September 1.

Residents nearby Frankfurt Airport should anticipate these nighttime verifications as the Beechcraft Super King Air 350 turbo-prop will conduct similar calibration flights at the same airport from Thursday to Sunday. last week, a similar series of tests were carried out on a different runway at Frankfurt Airport.
