Accidents - Articulated truck accident with serious consequences on federal highway 93
An articulated lorry that crashed on the 93 federal highway near Borna in western Saxony has caused extensive material damage. According to Leipzig police on Sunday, the vehicle left the road near Blumenroda last Friday for unknown reasons and overturned. The 65-year-old driver was taken to hospital with injuries and the articulated truck sustained damage estimated at around 22,000 euros. In addition, a delineator post and its anchoring were torn out of the ground and the surrounding area was damaged. The main road was also closed for around six hours to recover the truck. The cause of the accident is being investigated.
