Arson not ruled out after fire in four-sided farmhouse
Following a fire in the four-sided courtyard of a former monastery in Passau, the police cannot rule out arson as the cause. This was announced by investigators on Thursday after inspecting the site. The investigation is ongoing. Investigators estimated the damage to be at least 500,000 euros.
According to the police, two of the five buildings on the estate were destroyed in the fire on Wednesday night. Other buildings of the empty monastery could have been "partially saved". The extinguishing work lasted until Wednesday morning. No one was injured in the fire.
The fire incident in Passau has sparked concerns, as similar incidents involving 'Fires' have occurred in 'Lower Bavaria' recently. Authorities are urging residents to remain vigilant and follow safety measures to prevent any potential arson attempts.
