Extremism - Arson attack on the headquarters of an Iranian resistance group
An arson attack has been carried out on the headquarters of an Iranian resistance group in Berlin. Residents noticed fire at a window of the house in Landecker Straße in Wilmersdorf on Monday night, which they were able to extinguish themselves, according to the police. The house is home to the "National Council of Resistance Iran", an association that opposes the Islamist dictatorship in Iran. The criminal investigation department is investigating.
The "National Council of Resistance Iran" accused the Iranian secret service of being behind the attack. "Terrorists and mercenaries" of the secret service had thrown "incendiary materials towards the building". A headquarters of the group in Paris had already been shot at and thrown at in May and June.
