Hamburg - Arrests after shots fired at men in Phoenix neighborhood
Six weeks after two men were shot in Harburg's Phoenix district, special police units have arrested two men aged 27 and 32. Both are considered urgent suspects, with the older man believed to be the shooter, police announced on Tuesday.
In the course of the police action, their homes, a pub and a property in Hanover were searched. Investigators seized a live firearm, a high-value car, cash and drugs, it was reported.
According to the latest information, at the end of October there was initially an argument in a backyard on Wilstorfer Straße and then a physical altercation, during which shots were fired at a 28-year-old and a 29-year-old. While the younger man was shot in the abdomen, his companion initially fled into a kiosk. Several people followed him there. In the kiosk, the man was reportedly physically attacked and also suffered a gunshot wound to the leg. The perpetrators fled.
