Crime - Arrested doctor from Duderstadt back at large

The doctor from Duderstadt near Göttingen who was arrested in Switzerland has been released. The arrest warrant against the woman was suspended by the Duderstadt district court in exchange for conditions, as a court spokesperson announced on Thursday. The decision had already been made on Tuesday, but had only just become known.

The woman had to surrender her passport and pay a deposit. She is also obliged to report regularly to the police. The public prosecutor's office had also applied for the arrest warrant to be suspended, as a spokesperson said on Thursday.

The doctor had previously been arrested in Switzerland on the basis of a European arrest warrant. She has been charged at Duderstadt District Court with, among other things, issuing false medical certificates for exemption from the obligation to wear a mask. The trial against her could probably start at the beginning of next year, said the court spokesperson.
