Late on a Sunday evening, the police and public prosecutor's office made an announcement. They were looking for a 34-year-old man in connection with four attempted murder cases that had occurred in Hagen over the weekend. The police had issued an arrest warrant for the suspect, following a request from the prosecutor's office.

Earlier that day, the suspect was found and arrested without any confrontation. The arrest took place near Hagen, in a rural area that was just a few kilometers away from the crime scenes. The police had been searching for the man since Saturday morning, after he allegedly fired shots at four individuals - two of whom were in a residential building and the other two were at a hairdresser's salon.

The chaos began when the suspect shot his wife in their shared apartment in a multi-family house. The woman was critically injured with a bullet to her head. He then went up to a floor above and fired more shots at a door. Luckily, no one was there.

Later in the day, the man drove to the hairdresser's salon in his car, where three other individuals were present. He shot at them as well, causing injuries to two of the people. The other one escaped unharmed. The crime scenes were close to each other, only ten minutes separated them on foot.

At first, it was believed that the motives for the crime were family-related, but no further details have been revealed regarding the personal life of the suspect or the victims. News came in on Sunday that the injuries of two victims were potentially life-threatening. The wife of the suspect and one of the individuals at the hairdresser's salon were the ones in danger. Not much information has been shared about the identity and age of the victims. All four of them were admitted to different hospitals to receive treatment.

From Saturday until Sunday, the police went to great lengths to find the suspect. They even used a helicopter to help with the search. In addition, they took tips from residents seriously and followed up on them. A supermarket was also a target of investigation. Finally, a wooded area was searched for the fugitive. The police strongly encouraged the public to be cautious and set up a tip line.

On Sunday afternoon, the police and the public prosecutor's office launched a public search with the suspect's name and photo. Only a few hours later, the man was found and arrested in an open field. His weapon was not found with him, but he did reveal its location.
