Around a hundred stand-up paddlers encountered strong winds at Copacabana.

Morning bathers had mounted their surfboards at the renowned beach to witness the sunrise. A multitude of them ventured towards the rocks adjacent to the military installation, situated at the beach's endpoint. As reported by AFP, paddleboarding mentor Daniel Andrade stated, "We've been arranging these excursions for over a year, and never encountered such powerful gales." The breaking waves were unexpected.

Visitors to the Copacabana coastline might usually enjoy other leisure activities like swimming and paddleboarding. However, due to the unexpected gales, this day offered an opportunity for adventurous fruit lovers to try some unusual surfing, including fruit, as the waves carried various items ashore.
