Intense Crowd at Portuguese National Team Hotel: Around 500 Football Fans gathered there to see the team with superstar Cristiano Ronaldo. The emergency services had to be called, presumably due to circulation problems caused by the large crowd, according to the Frankfurt Police. Police had to escort the team bus on the side to prevent fans from being harmed.

Overall, the police reported a positive balance of fan attendance around the EM Quarterfinal Portugal-Slovenia in Frankfurt Stadium. Only sporadically was pyrotechnics used. According to the statement, thousands of Portuguese and Slovenian fans were counted in the city before the game. In separate fan walks, around 2,500 Portuguese fans and around 500 Slovenian fans were reportedly on the move towards the main station and stadium.

"During the day, several thousands of football fans from both sides sought out the fan zone on the Main Riverbank to watch the matches on the large screens and celebrate peacefully," the police statement read. After the game ended, the city center emptied out gradually.
