Around 450 exhibitors at the leisure fair Touristik & Caravaning
The leisure trade fair Touristik & Caravaning (TC) Leipzig continues to grow rapidly. Around 450 exhibitors from the camping and tourism sector represent a significant increase compared to the previous year (360), said Alexander Ege, Director of Trade Fairs and Events at Messe Stuttgart, on Monday. The Swabians have been organizing the Leipziger TC since 2018. Touristik & Caravaning opens its doors from Wednesday to Sunday.
"Every area at TC Leipzig has grown - whether in caravanning or tourism. The pleasure and bicycle/outdoor areas have also grown in size," said Ege. The largest public trade fair for vacations and leisure in Central Germany has been taking place since 1990.
According to Ege, demand is generally very high in the caravanning sector. "The 2023 travel year is finishing above average." Multifunctional mini-mobiles with pop-up roofs are booming in particular. The topic of van conversions and personalizing your own vehicle is also playing a major role in the industry. "We are noticing that long-distance travel is popular again. But short trips are also still on people's agendas."
Leisure time enthusiasts can explore various travel options at the expanded Touristik & Caravaning fair. The growth in exhibitors, including those in tourism and camping, provides ample opportunities to plan future leisure time travels, including attending fairs and events.
