Around 350 operations in Lower Bavaria after snowfall

The police in Lower Bavaria have been called out to around 350 incidents due to the persistent snowfall. As the officers announced on Saturday, there have been numerous accidents and traffic obstructions since Friday evening.

Weather - Around 350 operations in Lower Bavaria after snowfall

The police in Lower Bavaria have been called out to around 350 incidents due to the persistent snowfall. As officials announced on Saturday, there have been numerous accidents and traffic obstructions since Friday evening.

The police were involved in 80 traffic accidents. The people involved were injured in five accidents. The officers also registered around 220 traffic obstructions and hazards as a result of slippery snow, in particular due to broken-down cars. The remainder were calls due to snow breakage - such as collapsed carports or damage caused by fallen branches.

The police warn of an increased risk of accidents due to snowfall on roads along wooded areas and advise drivers to only make necessary journeys.

In addition to the numerous accidents and traffic obstructions, the weather in Bavaria has also led to several instances of snow breakage, including collapsed carports and damage caused by fallen branches in Lower Bavaria. Despite the warnings, some drivers have still been involved in accidents along wooded areas in Bavaria.
