Heavy rains for several days have caused rivers and streams to surge, specifically in Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg regions, prompting numerous residents to evacuate their dwellings. Many volunteers have been hard at work to address the situation. Tragically, a firefighter lost his life during a rescue operation in Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm, an Upper Bavarian district, late on Sunday evening.
