Crime - Armed robbers hold up jewelry store in Schmargendorf

Two armed robbers have robbed a jewelry store in Berlin-Schmargendorf and stolen various jewelry pieces. One of the yet unknown perpetrators overpowered a 64-year-old employee in Berkaer Straße, as the police reported on Tuesday. The woman reportedly fainted and injured her arm. Subsequently, the robber is said to have allowed his alleged accomplice entry. The duo threatened the woman with a firearm. No shot was fired, it was reported.

The perpetrators, initially believed to be two men, escaped with a car. The injured woman was taken to a clinic. Another employee, who was hiding in a backroom during the robbery, was shaken by the event. The police are asking for tips.

The jewelry store in question is located in Berlin-Schmargendorf. Despite the violent crime, no shots were fired during the robbery. The police are actively seeking information about the Southwest-accented robbers, who made off with a piece of jewelry from the store.
