District of Herzogtum-Lauenburg - Argument at a snack bar leads to a chase
An argument between two brothers and a snack bar vendor in Geesthacht (Herzogtum-Lauenburg district) escalated into a chase. One of the two brothers threatened the 24-year-old vendor in the pedestrian zone with a blank-firing pistol, the police reported on Thursday. The brothers, aged 50 and 53, then fled together with a 39-year-old man in a car through the town, hitting a patrol car and a parked vehicle.
The 39-year-old driver of the getaway car had been on drugs and did not have a valid driver's license, it was reported. Only when a police officer shot at the rear tire of the getaway car did the chase come to an end. When the officers arrested the three men, they found several knives in the car in addition to the pistol. The three men have since been released from custody.
