Television - ARD shows New Year's Eve special with Engelke and Brandt again

After last year's New Year's Eve half-hour "Kurzschluss" starring Anke Engelke and Matthias Brandt, ARD is showing a sequel this year. In the first "Kurzschluss", the two were trapped in the self-service area of a bank due to a technical defect. Now Engelke and Brandt, as Bettina and Martin in "Der zweite Kurzschluss", get into an argument with other guests at a gym New Year's Eve party and have to hole up in the hall attendant's room, as WDR announced on Monday.

Their experiences and conversations are "sometimes surprising, sometimes silly, sometimes contemplative, and always pleasantly emotional", Engelke promises according to WDR. The film is to be broadcast on December 30 at 11.30 p.m. on the first channel, parts 1 and 2 will also be shown consecutively on December 31 at 6 p.m. on the first channel.
