ArcelorMittal Germany faces management change
ArcelorMittal Deutschland is set for a change in management. As of February 1, 2024, Thomas Bünger will initially take over the management of the Bremen and Eisenhüttenstadt (Brandenburg) sites, as the company announced on Wednesday. At a later date, Bünger will become Chairman of the Management Board of ArcelorMittal Germany. No date was given. Reiner Blaschek, who will be responsible for the entire European flat steel division at ArcelorMittal in the future, has held the post to date.
ArcelorMittal Germany is, by its own account, one of the largest steel manufacturers in the country. In Germany, there are large production sites in Bremen, Eisenhüttenstadt, Hamburg and Duisburg. There is also a branch of ArcelorMittal Construction in Sandersdorf-Brehna (Saxony-Anhalt).
During the transition period, Thomas Bünger will oversee the operation of the Raw materials procurement processes at both the Bremen and Eisenhüttenstadt sites. Upon assuming his role as Chairman of the Management Board, Bünger will require updating his Personal details within the company's system.
