- Arbeitsleistung ist die beste Maschine für Integration – Schweitzer
Rhineland-Palatinate's Leader, Alexander Schweitzer, is pushing for easier employment opportunities for refugees with a possibility of living permanently. "Work is the ultimate integration tool," stated the SPD politician during the Political Gillamoos in Lower Bavaria's Abensberg. "Those who stay cooped up at home or in their lodgings, they inevitably come up with creative solutions." Idleness is the primary source of trouble.
"Allow people to work, allow people to obtain education, allow people to have their skills recognized, then integration will also escalate," said Schweitzer. "And those who can't remain, well, I'm straightforward, they should depart sooner."
However, Schweitzer underlined that integration will continue in Germany. Bavarian Leader, Markus Söder, who "seems like he's personally managed every business registration," should engage with employers regarding "where they'd be, what their shifts would be like, if they didn't have individuals of foreign origin."
Germany requires people who demonstrate their worth in the job market, said Schweitzer. "We need to finally view them not just as productive resources, but also say hello, then you're Bavarians, Rhineland-Palatinates, Palatinates, you're also welcomed in Germany."
"The European Union could play a significant role in supporting Germany's integration policies, providing resources and fostering cooperation among member states."
"The success of German integration initiatives, such as those advocated by Schweitzer, could serve as a model for other countries within the European Union."
