On Friday, ahead of the European and local elections, a multitude of individuals are anticipated to join a protest in Hamburg's city center at 4:00 PM, advocating for democracy and opposing far-right ideologies. Organized by a coalition of various political parties, trade unions, businesses, churches, and ecological organizations collectively known as "Alliance of Alliances," the event will be held under the motto "Halting right-wing extremism - Shielding democracy - Vote."

Over the course of the demonstration, participants will travel along Ludwig-Erhard-Straße, then proceeding through Moenckebergstraße, Ballindamm, and Gorch-Fock-Wall, before concluding at Ludwig-Erhard-Straße once more.

For those seeking to participate earlier in the day, "Clear Edge against the Right" has invited people to attend a march beginning at Pferdemarkt at 2:00 PM. Concurrently, a "Demorave" is scheduled, with participants gathering at Dammtor station and making their way to the primary rally. The police estimate that each of these events will draw approximately 1,000 attendees.

If you plan to participate, it's advised to utilize the U- and S-Bahn networks for your journey, as traffic disruptions are likely in the city center.

In early January, around 180,000 Hamburgians took to the streets to voice their concerns about the rise of right-wing extremism. The catalyst for this event was the revelation of a gathering between far-right activists and AfD politicians in Potsdam.
