After several incidents of vandalism to a local police station in Lemwerder, Wesermarsch district, authorities have temporarily held a suspect in custody. This individual was spotted loitering around the police station at night, as per a police spokesperson. Subsequent investigations revealed incendiary substances close to the building, leading the investigators to suspect the man was planning to start a fire.

Following his apprehension, the 40-year-old displayed unconventional psychological tendencies, as mentioned by the police. Medical professionals subsequently evaluated him, and he was transferred to a mental health facility. In July, August, and September, the station's windows endured significant damage. The estimated repair cost exceeded 3000 euros, according to the police report.

The police continued to monitor the situation around the Lemwerder police station due to past incidents. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the suspect had a history of encounters with law enforcement.
