Fire - Apartment no longer habitable after fire in Wismar

In the basement of a multi-family house in Wismar, Nordwestmecklenburg, a fire broke out. A residence in the first upper story is no longer habitable, as the police reported on Saturday. The three residents had accommodated with relatives during the night to Samstag.

According to the police, no persons were injured. Damages amounted to approximately 10,000 Euro. The police have initiated an investigative procedure due to suspicion of arson. A total of 33 firefighters were involved.

The fire in Wismar, located in the District of Northwest Mecklenburg, spread beyond the initial house and affected parts of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Residents of the affected area are advised to be vigilant due to the ongoing investigations by the local police, who suspect arson.
